The SPRacingF4EVO uses advanced processor, sensor and software technologies to make your aircraft fly like it's on rails.
The SPRacingF4EVO flight-controller and the Cleanflight software enables the precision flying you need for fast FPV racing.

Next-Generation CPU

The SPRacingF4EVO has an ARM Cortex-M4 168Mhz CPU with Math co-processor (FPU) for efficient flight calculations that gets more done in less time.
The latest CPU allows Gyro and Accelerometer sampling many timer faster than previous-generation STM32F1 and F3 based boards.

DSHOT and OneShot ESC support

Full support for 8 DSHOT or OneShot ESCs for easy PID tuning and a sharper response. Yes, we said 8!!

Simpler Installation

The SPRacingF4EVO features large solder pads for the most common connections. For smaller builds this means you can mount the board and then solder wires from the top.

SPI sensor connection

The gyroscope and accelerometer sensors are connected to the fast SPI bus. This enables the software to get more data even quicker to help stabilize your aircraft even better

USB

USB socket to configuration of flight controller and for pass-though configuration of BlHeli ESCs.

USB socket is not shared with any of the 5 serial ports. No more unplugging your OSD when configuring

Expansion Ports

The SPRacingF4EVO features 4 expansion ports; I2C and 3 serial ports. Perfect for GPS receivers, external sensors, ESC feedback or an always-on OLED Screen.

MicroSD

The SPRacingF4EVO features a MicroSD card socket for logging. Supports MicroSD/SDHC up to 32GB - just leave one in and log every flight!

Configurable

The SPRacingF4EVO runs Cleanflight which can be configured to suit your needs using a cross-platform GUI (Windows/OSX/Linux).

Small and lightweight

The SPRacingF4EVO has a standard 36x36mm form-factor with 30.5mm mounting holes on a thick PCB for durability.

Stackable

The SPRacingF4EVO is a stackable design. Connect an OSD or PDB directly under the board for a super-tidy and wire-free installation.

Stackable designs are proven to be more durable in a crash.

Broad RC receiver support

Supports SBus, CrossFire, Spektrum1024/2048, XBus/IBus, SumH, SumD, FPort, PPM & more. No external inverters required (built-in), receiver powered via flight battery or USB for easy configuration.

Dedicated ports for PPM/SBus/SumH/etc for easy connections. Socket for plug and play Spektrum Satellite receiver.

Battery Monitoring

Built in battery voltage monitoring, input for additional current monitoring.

4 Switchable pads to allow feedback from telemetry enabled ESCs

Programmable LEDs

Dedicated output for multi-colored LED strips - great for FPV racing, line-of-sight flying orientation and night flying.

The SPRacingF4EVO allows you to use the transponder feature and the programmable LEDs at the same time!

Developer Friendly

Developer friendly debugging port (SWD) and boot mode selection, unbrickable bootloader.

Telemetry support

Supports bi-directional and standard transmit-only telemetry systems including SmartPort/S.Port, HoTT, FrSky, Mavlink, IBus and LTM telemetry.

Telemetry enables audible and visible ground-station or receiver based alarms, warnings, information gathering and logging of FC data.

Sonar

Sonar support for precision low-altitude hold.

Boot Button

The SPRacingF4EVO features a boot button to allow easy setting of boot mode for firmware flashing of the device.

Buzzer

Buzzer port for audible warnings and notifications.

Race Timing Transponder *

The SPRacingF3NEO features a race transponder system for recording your lap times. Each board comes with a special transponder code to identify you at race events. Compatible with i-LAP receiver systems.

Race Transponder

The SPRacingF4EVO features a race transponder timing system. As you fly around the track the FC continually transmits your unique code via IR. As your aircraft passes the start/finish timing gate the track-side receiver records your lap-time.

  • Compatible with iLAP receiver systems, as used by by most racing clubs worldwide.
  • Optional LED for attaching via flying lead.
  • Reduces your overall cost for a race-ready air-craft.
  • No fiddling around trying to fit transponders in a hurry on race-day. Just turn up at the race and have the race officials scan your transponder and you're ready!

The hardware was designed by the lead developer of Cleanflight to be more capable than the previous-generation STM32F1-based boards and to set the benchmark for a wallet-friendly STM32F4 based board.

Cleanflight comes with a detailed manual that is reviewed and maintained by the Cleanflight developers and community. No more out-of-date wiki pages and second-hand information.
